Slow June
Well i have been pretty busy with work and organising this Rally to Mongolia i'm leaving on. Poker has and will continue to take a back seat until September it looks like.
I did get the chance to play with some friends of mine the other night at a home game. It was a £10 buy in and there were 8 of us and i won through. There are some people there who can play and have some experience, but i was confident that i had learnt enough to do well. The blinds rose quickly to give it a crapshoot element after a while and i had to play tight and simple because a few had no idea what to do and were prone to deal me horrendous suckouts.
Still, i got good hands and played them strongly at good points and managed to keep clear of people. It was much easier to read these player than in Vegas but the principles remained the same. When i have had a bit more practice at watching people i may share my thoughts with you.
Anyway, here's my first winners shot and i'm only pleased that i have at last managed to figure out how to post pictures onto this blog. Let's hope it's the first of many. We shall see. I won with my favourite hand as well! Notice the quality Rock Metal t-shirt i'm sporting, Judas Priest. Can you name the album though?
